On Friday 22nd September all the children from Year 3 to 6 visited the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. The trip was one of the highlights of their studies about the Golden Era in Dutch history. The children were able to see many of the paintings and artefacts they had learnt about during their lessons. 

Twenty-four candidates took their final DP exams in the May 2017 exam session. Twenty-one of the candidates obtained their Diploma, representing an 88% pass rate. The builders have done their first preparations: in order to be able to create a new playground the old caretakers building needed to be taken down. Herewith some footage, all done in just one day!

Today some of our MYP4 students, together with Ms Behling, Ms Verberne and Mr B took part in Amsterdam’s city swim to raise money for ALS. This was the community project that the class began last year. Fantastic effort! ISB is very proud of you!

The DP1 students started the school year with an Introduction Day where they participated in an ‘Alternative Tour of Breda” followed by a lunch at Publieke Werken. A good way to get to know each other and get back in gear. We wish them an excellent school year!

On Thursday morning, July 13th, the secondary students had their final mentor lessons before gathering together for the second annual ISB Secondary Awards Ceremony. This event is a chance for teachers and students to recognize each other for outstanding achievement, effort, and determination. On the 6th and 7th July our Year 6 Class had their camp in Kamperland in Zeeland. The students and staff had a wonderful time camping, experience different sports and fun with our friends from Movement Sports. 

During the second term our MYP 1 students have studied an interdisciplinary unit in Visual Arts, Music and Design.
