Service as Action

saa2MYP students have been busy in recent weeks working on their Action as Service projects. These initiatives are an integral part of the Middle Years Programme and allow students to transfer skills learned in the classroom into the real world and help them to improve the skills that will enable them to make effective contributions to society.
On Thursday the 16th June, MYP5 finally got to show what they have been working on the past few months: the creation of after school clubs. These were organised by our MYP 5 students and all secondary students were invited to sign up free of charge.

The activities have included football, games and a very successful (and wet!) water balloon fight on the school field as well as a salsa class and yoga. There were many smiles and a lot of interaction between different age groups. Well done MYP5!saa1
