Our Team

The Division Council is a representative body for students, parents, and teachers and conforms to the Dutch participatory model for schools. Via this platform, the community can give advice and has a say in the vision and planning of the school. Through monthly meetings with management, the Division Council shares the voice of their constituents.

PCPO Midden-Brabant  is responsible for overseeing the Primary section of the International School Breda, while the Secondary section is governed by Libréon

Yfke van der Kammen is the ISB’s youth nurse from the GGD West-Brabant, the youth health care organization in Breda, specialising in the medical and psychosocial development of children. Sometimes, when the teachers have particular concerns about a student in terms of physical or mental well-being or demonstrates unusual or difficult behavior, this can can be discussed, with the parents’ approval, with the youth nurse or the youth doctor from the school. The school nurse can think along with the teachers and give advice on these subjects.  She can also examine or simply talk to the student. When needed, she can have the youth doctor refer the student to the general practitioner, medical specialist, or other care worker.

As parents, you can go to Yfke with questions, for example, about the vaccination program in the Netherlands, the health care organization for the youth and how it works, or ask questions you may have about raising children or other related problems.
