ISB Students Make an Impact Through Service Projects, Embodying the Motto “ISBCares!”

At the International School of Breda (ISB), the spirit of care and community shines through every student action. Living by the motto “ISBCares!”, ISB students consistently demonstrate compassion, initiative, and a commitment to making a difference.

Each year, Middle Years Programme (MYP) students engage in a range of Service as Action (SA) projects, aimed not only at developing important skills such as perseverance, collaboration, and initiative but also at contributing positively to the community. These projects foster a deeper connection between students and the world around them.

Some of the highlights from this year’s SA projects include:

  • The Tulip Project for TaraBodong, which raises awareness and support for important causes
  • ShoeBox Action, a drive to provide gifts for those in need
  • EcoClub, focusing on environmental sustainability
  • Write for Rights ✍️, advocating for human rights through letter-writing campaigns.
  • Assisting younger students in the school library
  • Supporting the ISB Parents Association in uniting local organizations
  • Collaborating with Food Bank Breda 🍽️to provide essential resources to those in need

These initiatives highlight just a few ways in which ISB students are making a meaningful difference in their community.

The ISB SA Team wishes all students continued success in their efforts to create a caring and impactful school year ahead!
